Tech Discussion | Altar System and Player leveling


The altar in our game stands as an interactable barrel which brings up a UI menu for the player to spend their currency they have earned from defeating enemies.

Stats (there are 4 stats to level each effecting other attributes on the player):

- Heart: Upgrades health

- Body: Upgrades Attack and Stamina

- Mind: Upgrades Magic Dmg and Mana

- Soul: Upgrades Defense and Favor multiplier

This is working with the save system so the player is able to fully save their stats each playthrough. The way most of them work is they multiply a float that is increased slightly with  each level to a base value for each stat so that it steadily increases with each level.
